James recently moved from the
greater Boston Area to join Professional Tennis Services @ South Riding
for
renewing & re-directing the community tennis programs. James is a recognized USTA High Performance Coach and was the owner of MATCHPOINT TENNIS Academy in Natick, MA for the
past seven years. He is an accomplished pro who specializes in doubles play, James "Teaches Serious Tennis to Serious Players."
Alan is a veteran of several Professional Tennis Satellite circuits as well as a past Virginia State Tennis Champion. In 30 years of teaching Tennis, Alan has successfully instructed and coached numerous sectionally and nationally ranked players, as well as, several national championship level USTA/NTRP rated teams.
All New / Exciting 2008 Tennis Programs:
We are extremely excited about the upcoming outdoor tennis season at South Riding and look forward to bringing you many fun filled programs and events. We have put together a very comprehensive junior tennis program that offers first rate instruction, as well as an assortment of fun social events.
The instructional Tennis program features three distinct segments: Spring/Summer/ Fall. Our program is quite extensive and is designed to promote good stroke mechanics, good sportsmanship and a command of all the rudiments of the game.
We will use the following age/skill descriptions for the purpose of placing juniors into compatible classes.
Tiny Tots (4-5), beginners (6-7-8), advanced beginners, Intermediates and advanced (All ages). Players will have the opportunity to train and play in a nurturing and motivating atmosphere. Match play is greatly encouraged and will be made available through drill and play clinics, lessons and summer long camps.
Throughout the Summer, Juniors may participate in a wide variety of fun tennis events, starting with a junior fun day on Sunday MAY th and ending with our field trip to the Legg Mason tennis championships. We will host a Junior championship Tournament date TBA. All and all, we are looking forward to a very exciting and fun packed tennis season.
